Project Partners

The cooperation partners contribute their specific focal points and experience: The DFKI research department "Smart Networks" is responsible for embedding modern network technologies in an intelligent connectivity platform. The DFKI department "Smart Data & Knowledge Services" develops innovative analysis methods for sensor data using AI. The process architecture and coordination procedures for robot teams are developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, a comprehensive risk governance strategy by the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO. The latter is intended to ensure that production plants in multi-organizational process structures can be secured proactively and in an economically viable manner. AIRPoRT closely co-operates with its Japanese twin project at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT)  Wireless Systems Laboratory.
